About Beth Sobol

As a premier fashion business consultant, expert in Latin American designers, fashion show & event producer, my contributions in launching the careers of the world's top emerging designers is unparalleled. As an international fashion model for over 20 years, I worked for many of the world's top fashion houses in 40 countries around the world.

My most notable achievement has been the creation and annual production of Miami Fashion Week, one of the top 5 fashion weeks in the world. After 20 years, in May 2015 I sold the brand to European investors and I take pride in being known as the "Founder" of Miami Fashion Week, the platform that gave hundreds of international designers their launch into the American market.

Beth has served as a judge at the 2001 Miss Colombia pageant in Cartagena, Colombia where she was presented with the Key to the City, 2004 Miss Ecuador pageant in Guayaquil, Ecuador, 2004 Miss Universe pageant in Quito, Ecuador, 2008 Dubai Style Awards in Dubai, UAE, 2010 Banja Luka Fashion Fair in Bosnia & Herzegovina, 2011 Mission Catwalk in Jamaica, Super Model of the Bahamas in 2009 and 2015 and Mr. Male Model Universe in the Dominican Republic in 2008 and 2015.

Over the years, Beth has been honored for her work and received government Proclamations in 2000 from the State of Florida by then Secretary of State Katherine Harris, 2010 Proclamation from the City of Miami by Mayor Thomás Regalado, 2011 Proclamation from the City of Miami Beach by then Mayor Mattie Bower and the City Commission and has also received five Keys to the City of Miami Beach from past Mayor’s David Dermer and Neisen Kadsen.

In 2006 Beth was named as Florida's Top 100 Power Players by Florida International Magazine, 2006 Award of Excellence in Fashion Development by the Russian American Trade Promotion Council, 2007 50 Most Powerful People in Miami by Reel Life Magazine, 2007 Top 25 Influencers in Florida by General Motors Corporation, 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, 2010 International Women's Day Award from the World Trade Center Miami, 2010 Gold Medal Award from Miami Today, 2011 Movers and Shakers Award from South Florida Business Leaders Magazine, 2011 Influential Business Women Award from South Florida Business Journal, 2012 Top Real Women in Fashion award presented by Miami Fashion Spotlight, 2013 Color-A-Cause Honoree, and also in 2012 Ecuador Fashion Week announced the annual "Beth Sobol Emerging Latin American Fashion Designer Award" to be presented to a top designer in Latin America each year in honor of the work Beth has done in mentoring the world's emerging fashion designers.

Among many international speaking engagements, in 2010 Beth was the keynote speaker at the Women Who Lead Conference at Florida International University sharing her insights and entrepreneurial spirit to help empower and impact the lives of hundreds of young women on the verge of starting their careers. Beth was also invited as the keynote speaker at the commencement ceremony before the entire 2015 graduating class of A.i. The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.

Beth is now the President and CEO of the Council of International Fashion Designers, a business portal whose mission is to enable talented international designers and brands to establish a business foothold in the U.S. for profitable growth. The CIFD is an organization created to educate and train international fashion and accessory brands on how to compete in the American market.

In addition, Beth is also at the helm of the Council of International Fashion Designers Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to educate and support the world’s best students and emerging designers in the creative arts through competitions, scholarships and mentoring opportunities to prepare them for a successful career in the fashion industry.

Beth continues producing fashion events for charities and corporate clients and is an international fashion expert, consultant, host, guest speaker, judge and spokesperson. Since 2008, Beth has served on the Board of Directors of the World Trade Center Miami.
